Your Votes Have Been Counted....Welcoming Your Maine Red Claws!!

After the long, hard search for a team name that fits the Development League team coming to Portland, ME, the votes have been counted and the Maine Red Claws will be the team name. This is a reference to the Maine lobster industry and also pays tribute to legendary Celtics coach Red Auerbach. Let us know what you think in the poll below!

    Very creative idea for the team name. I like the honoring of Red Auerbach. Seems clear that this team will be a Celtics affiliate next year. Has an affiliation been confirmed yet?

    There hasn't been anything confirmed yet to the public. But based on the intro videos from the Celtic players and the amount of Celtic's staff at the launch were pretty sure they will be the affilitate, all stories lead us to believe this
